Interesting or inspiring articles (perhaps a bit of both) …
Each week, we share links to a few interesting or inspiring articles we’ve come across during the previous week. They’re meant to stir your thinking about marketing, communication and graphic design as well as conscious capitalism and the socially conscious movement.
I was in Rwanda in June, 2013 and was impressed with the progress I saw there … for a country that had suffered so much and had been brought so close to the brink of disaster. Rwanda is adopting a creative approach to moving goods around in a land where it’s difficult at the best of times. A drone airport will courier medicine (as well as other goods) around the country. This is a great example of how technology can solve age-old problems.
Is it ever OK to lie? Under what circumstances? Why do we expect some organizations–and businesses–to lie to us and that becomes the standard? The story of the lying executive in this article is not uncommon (quite the opposite, sadly). It’s a thought-provoking article … we hope you enjoy it.
On a lighter note … Here’s a great list of tools and resources for designers. The article includes sites where you’ll find the perfect font for your next project, to sites that provide inspiration for colour palettes. Looking for feedback on a design? There are collaboration sites included in the list too!
The photo of the mountain gorilla is from our personal archive and was taken in June, 2013 at Volcanoes National Park, Rwanda.
