There is a lot of discussion these days about positive corporate culture–whether we’re talking about purpose-driven organizations or for-profit business. Many people are asking why, after so many years, have we not been able to move the needle on improving employee engagement levels. This article focuses on how positive change must start at the top–with leadership.

Here’s another article on culture with a different view. The article is based on a report which found that a positive and authentic corporate culture can be helpful in building collaborative business relationships. I see how this can apply in the B2B space; although many today are calling all business “H2H” (human to human). As the author, Christoph Becker puts it “In a world where executives want to do business with companies that truly live by their values, it’s clear that companies need to do a better job of wearing their hearts on their sleeves …”

I was in Toronto last week for the Association of Fundraising Professionals–Congress 2015 conference (Toronto chapter). Amongst a great lineup of speakers, workshops and keynotes (Dan Pallotta spoke on innovation and creativity), there were some key learnings I came away from the conference with (check for new articles soon).
